Created during a style-transition of experimentation with the fluidity of my medium--shaking up my style of painting. The goal was to get faster and looser while maintaining accuracy of the subject. Two pandas were painted, this being the study painting for a commissioned piece. Not many requests were coming in at the time and my rates were embarassingly low. If memory serves me correctly, I had just begun actually doing pre-painting paintings. Before that, I would simply dive straight into the requested painting with minimal vision of the outcome. Not a whole lot of planning or prepping in my routine. However this was improvement.
